OUR STORY
Where We Began
We met in July 2019 and engaged by March 2020 just as the Covid 19 Pandemic hit. Lockdown pushed us together, with Conor & Stella quickly moving to Carnoustie to live. We are happy to say that lockdown only brought us closer. Now finally, with all our friends and family we can say 'I do' and spend the rest of our lives together as husband and wife.

ACTIVITIES
Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort has a range of activities on site including golf, fishing, and gentle walks around the water and woodland. Forbes of Kingennie also has on-site leisure activities for kids, including a maze, children’s playpark, and putting green.
The Scullery Restaurant offers a warm sit down dinner full of Scottish fare. It's laid-back and light-filled during the day, then cosy and intimate by night.
Cairn O' Mount Bar offers down-to-earth drinks and dining with Sky TV and BT Sports entertainment along with Wi-Fi access.
The Wee Tea Room is a spot to enjoy a comfy seat, paired with a coffee and a natter. If you’re feeling peckish then you can scoff one of our delicious, freshly made cakes.
For al fresco dining, you can sit at The Waterside where you can soak up the fresh countryside air and take in the incredible views.
The area of Angus is a superb location for Highland and east coast touring, for example, the stunning Angus Glens, imposing castles and amazing wildlife. Perthshire is less than an hour away providing a wealth of outdoor activities and leisure facilities, including some of the best walking, golf, fishing, boating, water sports and riding anywhere in Scotland. There are many places of historical and archaeological interest to visit. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen are all approximately 2 hours away, with the city of Dundee being just 6 miles away.
Local areas
Monifieth
A small coastal town on the north shore of the Firth of Tay, just a few miles east of Broughty Ferry. It has a Tesco supermarket, a few shops and pubs. This town is the closest location to our wedding venue.
Carnoustie
A small town on the Angus coast between Dundee and Arbroath, famed for its championship golf course. It is home to Conor, Jen and Stella. Jen was born and raised in Carnoustie, her mother Irene and niece Nicole also live there. There are lovely coastal and golf course walks, bars, restaurants, shops, hair salons and a small Co-op supermarket. It has good transport links with a railway station and frequent bus service to and from Dundee.
To eat - we recommend the Ganges Restaurant for Indian Cuisine (Golf Street) and the Rookery for traditional Scottish food overlooking the Championship Golf Course (Carnoustie Golf Links).
Broughty Ferry, Dundee
A lovely seaside location, with many shops, bars, cafes, hair salons and a small M&S Supermarket. It has a beautiful beach and coastal line that leads to Broughty Ferry Castle and with views over the River Tay, looking onto Fife. It has good transport links, with a railway station and frequent bus service.
To eat - we recommend Sol Y Sombre for Spanish Tapas, Collistons, Forgans, or The Tayberry for traditional Scottish food.
Dundee City
Scotland's hottest (or at least sunniest!) city, is awash with science, historic ships and museums (V&A), plenty of culture with theatres, arts centres, cafes, bars and shopping centres. Walking routes along the Tay Estuary is a must.
To eat - we recommend heading up the Perth Road (Dundee's West End). Pop into The DCA, Don Michele's, or Mas. In town, try Tahini, The Wine Press, or Rancho Pancho's.
